ORLANDO MINORITY YOUTH GOLF ASSOCIATION
The Orlando Minority Youth Golf Association program is designed to introduce minority youth, ages 6 to 18, to the sport of golf and to equip them with the skills to succeed in both golf and life. By teaching the skills required to succeed on the golf course, these inner-city and urban-area youth learn the importance of discipline which will help them grow in almost every aspect of life. The youth also develop various character traits such as positive self-esteem, self-motivation, self-direction and self-respect.
Additionally, the OMYGA program aids in producing quality golf athletes that then qualify for high school and college golf teams.

DUBSDREAD GOLF COURSE
The Dubsdread Golf Course is located in the City of Orlando in Orange County. In 1923, when Carl Dann Sr., a major Central Florida developer, had a disagreement with the Orlando Country Club, he began recruiting members to form a club on his own. Within a day, he had lined up at least 100 founding members for his new club. Construction began in that same year and Dann is believed to have been the designer. One story has it that Dann and a couple of members helped lay out the course by hitting shots through the woods. Everywhere a ball fell, a sand trap was placed.
Opening in 1924, Dubsdread derives its name from the intent of instilling dread in “dubs,” or novice golfers. Along with many other well known golfers, Patty Berg, Ben Hogan, Sam Snead and Babe Zaharias played Dubsdread in the '40s and '50s, and the course hosted the Orlando Open from 1945-47. The City of Orlando purchased the golf course in the late 1970s. In 2008, the course underwent an extensive renovation, during which all 18 holes were updated and a section of the public street that had previously crossed the 17th and 18th fairways was closed.
RIVERMONT COUNTRY CLUB
Since 1973, Rivermont Golf Club has been challenging and fun both to scratch golfers and higher handicap players.
